Welcome to KnittingChapters.
We are associates of Amazon so all sales are covered by their terms and Conditions, we have made it easier for you to find your Knitting and Crochet books, by having them in special pages all in one place.
We now have pages dedicated to sock knitting, spinning, Tunisian crochet.
I love free patterns and one place I check regularly is Knitty.com. It is full of free pattens and features. The most recent copy had some really lovely shawl patterns.
This design is named Omelet and there are no cooking skills needed. Omelet is a half circle shawl with a garter stitch border that is knit from center back to the bottom edge. Yarnovers at each end and between panels are used to form the shape. Increases are worked every four rows on right side only.
This design is called Forest Ridge. Forest Ridge is a good introduction to lace, with one easy body motif where every other row is straight purling, so don’t be afraid to get started if a newbie with lace knitting.
The site also has some great competitions to enter. All the information on entering is on the Knitty Blog.
Happy knitting everyone…..
Not with a needle and thread, but with seeds. This afternoon I planted 3 types of tomatoes and some cabbages also some runner beans. The Tomatoes are Alicante, Gardener’s Delight and Sweet Million. The Cabbages are Prima white cabbage with solid hearts. The Runner Beans are Scarlet Emperor. At least I have made a start.
I found this fun knitting list on another blog and so I thought I would give it a try.

I’m surprised how many techniques and things I have done considering my age. I look forward to trying the things I haven’t done yet! I hope you do to.
Well once again Easter is nearly here. Where does the time go?
I have found this cutie little lamb that is sock inspired to knit, it should take long, and I am sure all the knitters out there have some yarn in there stash to complete the project.
The link can be found here.
You will need to sign up to the site, but this is free as is the pattern.
The next pattern is Easter Eggs. They are done with crochet, but again make lovely gifts.
The link is here.
For something a little different I came across this Bunny Clothes peg. How brilliant is he.
Full instructions can be found here.
Another pattern I loved was this one. No wonder I never to get to knit half the projects I want to. There are so many out there to chose from.
The link is here.
Here is a link to some beautiful shawls and blankets. Ideal for that special gift.
Shawls they are once again Beehive patterns and are free to use.
I just had to take the time to tell you all about this wonderful site. There are free patterns and ideas. Knitting, Crochet, and sewing. It is a delight to look at. The instructions are clear, and the photography is fab. Take a look you won’t regret it. The Purl Bee
Have you checked out the book site lately. I have been adding more knitting and crochet related books to it. Remember it is free P&P. Knitting Chapters
